Dorset Art Weeks is one of the largest open studio events in the country. It brings together many different artists from across Dorset to talk and engage with the public about their work.
It has been quite a few years since I took part in DAWS and this year felt like the right time to throw open my doors and welcome you to browse and talk about my current work which I am so looking forward to.
With such a difficult year it has been so fantastic to have an event to look forward to. I have chosen to go bright and colourful spending many hours looking at amazing tropical fish, birds and flowers in my books.
Over the last few months I have been creating some new and exciting tropical inspired sgraffito ceramic pieces for this event. There will be vessels and wall hangings covered in anemones, crabs, seahorses and octopus as well as hummingbirds, orchids, tree frogs and geckos.
My studio will be open daily from 10am – 4pm from Saturday 22nd May – Sunday 6th June Unit 7, Isle of Portland Heritage Trust, Reforne, Easton, Portland, Dorset, DT5 2AN
